1984 Book Cover Redesign

Date

July 2024

Disciplines

Branding, Identity, Typography, and Literary Analysis

Client

George Orwell

For this project, I designed three distinct book covers for the classic novel 1984 by George Orwell. The goal was to visually capture and communicate the core themes and messages embedded in Orwell's dystopian narrative, including surveillance, loss of individuality, government control, and the manipulation of truth.

Throughout the design process, I considered how color, imagery, and layout choices could enhance readers' emotional responses and provide a meaningful first impression of the novel. The covers were developed to appeal to different audiences while staying true to the essence of Orwell's warning about authoritarian regimes and the fragility of personal freedom.
