This passion project is especially close to my heart: a brand and identity I designed for my family. It’s the branding and identity work for my aunt and uncle’s family-owned business, Muebles Meraki, in San Marcos, El Salvador. Specializing in custom-made furniture, Muebles Meraki has earned a reputation across generations for craftsmanship, quality, and personalized service, blending traditional woodworking with contemporary design to create pieces that are both beautiful and functional.
Rooted in a small workshop where skilled artisans hand-carve each piece, the business grew through dedication and word of mouth. I sought to honor that legacy while evolving the brand with a stronger visual identity and clearer market presence. I created a new logo inspired by the intricate carvings found on their furniture—especially the doors—using those details as a central design element to express the business’s craftsmanship, heritage, and commitment to custom design. This project let me combine my design skills with something deeply personal, making it both a professional challenge and a meaningful tribute to my family’s work.
